TIPER management is very conscious of the challenges of handling and storing hazardous oil products, which are, by their nature, environmentally unfriendly. It is TIPER’s priority to focus on HSSE Management and to make continuous improvements including:

• Maintaining Product quality in a safe environment
• Ensuring HSSEQ Legal Compliance and other requirements
• Ensure Accidents/Incidents & Environmental pollution prevention
• Continuous improvement of HSSEQ Performance
• Ensure Waste water Management
• Ensuring hazardous and nonhazardous waste management
• Ensuring safe workplace to all employees, contractors and visitors

The overall HSSE road map has been defined after fully detailed risk assessment to the TIPER site based on 7 possible critical scenarios. This will ensure that we meet the required safety and preventative measures dictated by the international safety requirements, we are proud of this unique approach to safety within Dar es Salaam oil business sector.

This process has been shared with local regulators making TIPER a leader in HSSE improvement initiatives in the oil sector in Tanzania.

The HSSE plan aims at preventing major incidents while it is also designed to provide a fast response to minimize any incidents impact on people, the environment and ultimately to protect TIPER and its customer’s interest.
